Abstract:New Zealand’s Financial Markets Authority cancelled Rockfort Markets Limited’s derivatives issuer licence on 19 July 2024. Its announcement, published on 9 September 2024, also records the company’s earlier trading-name change to RockGlobal. New Zealand‘s Financial Markets Authority cancelled Rockfort Markets Limited’s derivatives issuer licence on 19 July 2024. Its announcement, published on 9 September 2024, also records the companys earlier trading-name change to RockGlobal. This RockGlobal review examines that entity-specific action alongside current website disclosures and a separate withdrawal complaint. These are historical events reviewed on 16 September 2026, not new regulatory action announced today.
Is RockGlobal Safe or a Scam?
The FMA cancellation is a verified regulatory action and a material consideration when assessing the New Zealand entity. It is not a blanket finding that every company using the brand is fraudulent. Equally, a different group companys registration or claimed licence does not restore the cancelled New Zealand permission or establish authorisation for Indian residents.
What the FMA Actually Decided
According to the FMA, Rockfort materially breached eight licence obligations, including compliance with an earlier direction, advertising controls, governance standards and required product-disclosure information. The regulator dates the cancellation to 19 July 2024.
The same release states that Rockfort changed its trading name to RockGlobal on 15 May 2023. A RockGlobal regulation check should therefore search the legal company name as well as the brand.
The Website Names More Than One Company
The rgfxglobal.com footer names ROCKGLOBAL CAPITAL MARKETS PTY LTD in Australia, Rockfort Markets Limited in New Zealand and RockGlobal International LLC in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. It explicitly states that the New Zealand company is not licensed there to provide or issue derivatives to retail clients. It also says the SVG companys registration does not itself grant regulatory licences.
These disclosures support an entity-by-entity check, not interchangeable protection across the group. This article does not independently validate the websites Australian licence claim.
A USD 54,219 Complaint is Not a Proven Loss Finding
A BrokersView complaint dated 16 July 2026 alleges deposits totalling USD 50,000, profits of USD 4,219, and a withdrawal request submitted on 1 June. The user alleges repeated document demands, profit deductions and non-return of the principal. USD 54,219 is the amount claimed in the complaint, not an independently established loss.
The visible 10 August reply is from BrokersView saying it forwarded the case; it is not a substantive broker response or proof of resolution. The public complaint does not establish the contracting entity or independently verify the account transactions.
What Indian Residents Need to Check
RBIs forex FAQ states that residents may transact only with authorised persons and for permitted purposes. Electronic forex transactions must use RBI-authorised platforms or recognised Indian stock exchanges under the applicable rules. Remittances for overseas forex-trading margins are not allowed under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme. Absence from an alert list is not proof of authorisation.
An overseas licence claim therefore does not settle whether a particular service or payment route is permitted for an Indian resident.
Conclusion: Verify the Contracting Entity First
The strongest verified concern here is the FMA action against the named New Zealand company. The later complaint adds questions, not a proven brand-wide fraud finding. Use the WikiFX profile as a research aid, then verify the regulation RockGlobal claims to hold against the exact contracting entity and the regulators own records.
- Obtain the legal company name, jurisdiction and account agreement before considering any funding.
- Check the licences current status and permitted activities; distinguish company registration from authorisation.
- Confirm the proposed forex transaction and payment route against RBI rules, not sales assurances.
- Keep withdrawal requests, statements and written replies; do not treat a platform acknowledgement as a settled dispute.
