The fees at OBRinvest are primarily derived from the spread, which varies based on the account type. The Basic account has a relatively high spread of 3 pips for EUR/USD, which means higher trading costs for smaller traders like myself. However, as you upgrade to higher-tier accounts, the spreads tighten — for example, the VIP account offers a spread as low as 1.6 pips, which is significantly better for active traders. For me, this would mean that if I were to trade more frequently or with larger amounts, I’d probably consider upgrading to one of the higher-tier accounts to take advantage of tighter spreads and reduce my overall trading costs.
OBRinvest offers leverage of up to 1:400, which could be an advantage if I want to amplify my potential returns. However, I’d be cautious with this level of leverage since it also significantly increases the risk of losing money quickly. I’d carefully consider the risks involved and make sure I’m using proper risk management strategies before taking full advantage of such high leverage.
OBRinvest does not charge a commission on trades, which is a bonus for me as it simplifies the cost structure. Instead, they rely on the spread to make money, so the cost of each trade is built into the spread. I appreciate this model because it makes it easier for me to calculate the costs upfront, but it also means that I need to keep an eye on the spread, especially if I’m trading smaller accounts where the spread can be a larger percentage of the total trade.
OBRinvest only supports Webtrader, which could be a bit limiting for me since I’m used to platforms like MT4 or MT5. These platforms offer more advanced features, which I find essential for technical analysis and customization. However, Webtrader might work well for those looking for a simple, user-friendly platform without the complexity of MT4/MT5. If I were to trade with OBRinvest, I’d likely adapt to Webtrader, but I’d prefer more platform choices.
